David Hardberger

David Hardberger was born February 11, 1948 in Pennsylvania. David started his career working at an explosives company for the film industry in Northern California. This job for David would propel him to a Master Status of his artful craft of Special Effects in the film making world starting at Universal Studios in the 1960’s. In the 1970’s, David worked on such blockbuster hits as Close Encounters all the way through currently doing The Lord of the Rings.

At a recent film conference, David was asked, “Out of all the top Director’s he has worked with, who did he respect the most? David responded: “Directors like Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg, and Shawn Sequeira, I respect the most, because these guys are the best at visualizing the exact scenes and special effects within their minds and are able to conceptualize it onto the Silver Screen without any script...”

David Hardberger ended his quote by saying: “We are living in a great age of special effects and the changes that Hollywood has come to terms with to truly produce the most realistic and entertaining masterpieces seen on the big screen today. I love my job, what more can I say!”
